I had no real musical interest as I grew up, but in 1984, aged 15, I bought my first Album (Cassette Tape), "Age Of Consent" by Bronski Beat, for no other reason than I liked the sleeve!!

It turned out to be real shrewd move, as to this day, it is still one of my favourite albums ever! Thereafter, I took a real interest in dance music, specifically Hi-Nrg which was getting bigger and bigger audiences in Scotland.

I bought my first DJ decks around 1985 to play in my bedroom. Most, if not all of my money was spent buying vinyl and listening to it for hours on end. I never had any real talent at mixing and to be honest, my heart was never really in it.

I just loved the music. Between 1985 and 1990, Hi-Nrg, Italo Disco and Eurobeat music got a lot of my attention and money!

In 2010, whilst listening to an online radio show I thought of a show idea from the 80s, and Club 80s was born. Initially, it was just a bit of a fun with only a handful of listeners. Now, through our facebook membership, our website, our association with record labels and Internet Radio stations such as Radio Stad Den Haag, it is so much more.

We have an incredibly supportive team of listeners and contributors to our cause of keeping our fabby music alive in 2016 and beyond. Be great if you joined in too.
